my story
From an overwhelmed mom to top earning Etsy creator
After design school, I dreamed of one day running my own design studio - 10 years later that dream was a reality. I was working with 6 figure clients, helping them grow their brands through graphic design. I thought this was what I wanted, to run a successful design studio, work with hundreds of clients, and always have fun projects lined up.
But the reality was much different. I ended up working 40-60 hours a week and was constantly stressed out. From answering emails to chasing down invoices, running a design studio was a lot more work (and stress!) than I anticipated. Once I got pregnant with my first son I realized there was no way this was going to be sustainable once my baby arrived.
This is about the time I stumbled into the world of digital products - I learned how they were a form of passive income, meaning you spend the time initially to design the product but after the hard work is done, you can sell it over and over to many people without any additional work. Making money while I slept sounded like an absolute dream, especially if it meant I could spend more time with my kids AND bring in more cash.
I wasn’t sure what I was getting into exactly, it sounded almost too good to be true. I decided to dive in and learn as much as I could about digital products - what were they, what types of digital products are out there and how do I design them. Fast forward 3 years I’m making over $5000 a month in passive income.
